Job Description:

Clinical Psychologist / Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Part Time: 22.5 hours per week

Salary: £38,000 per annum (pro rata)

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Clinical psychologist or CBT therapist to join our team in the national Obsessional Disorder service.

Providing quality, inspiring innovation and delivering value is what we set out to achieve. Enabling our patients with mental health illness to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Set back within landscaped gardens in a secluded part of Southgate, the tranquil environment of the Hospital specialises in the treatment of mental health problems including addiction rehabilitation.

Offering calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 50 service users, including separate facilities for up to 18 young people, personalised treatment programmes are delivered by our multidisciplinary team alongside the use of a range of therapies.

The Obsessional Department offers intensive treatment programmes for adults and adolescents with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), and Health Anxiety. It also provides treatment for anxiety disorders including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or a Specific Phobia of Vomiting (SPOV). These are offered on an in-patient, day-patient, or outpatient basis. All such programmes are based on NICE treatment guidelines recommended for adolescents or adults with OCD or BDD which specify Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including Exposure and Response Prevention (E&RP).

The Obsessional Department is part of the national Highly Specialised Services (HSS) for severe treatment refractory Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

In addition, the hospital offers both inpatient and outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents with a variety of mental health difficulties ranging from mood disorders to emerging personality difficulties.
