Part-time: 2 days per week

Salary: £30,000 pro-rata

We are currently looking to recruit an experinced Physiotherapist Specialist for our newly developed neuropsychiatric inpatient service, which caters for people with brain injuries, organic brain disorders and neurodegenerative conditions. Our service will be focusing on the provision of support required for people to regain their maximum potential for independence, choice and opportunity.

The unit is a purpose-built 20 bed male unit who are ready to leave acute hospital provision or who need a full time inpatient provision but still require specialist therapy-led rehabilitation. They typically will carry a degree of risk and they can be detained under the mental health act or detained under the DoLS provisions of the mental capacity act. This will include a primary diagnosis of and organic brain syndrome and a possible dual diagnosis of learning disability/mental illness. We are committed to maximizing personal choice and independence, and supporting each individual to draw up their own individual care plan so that physical, emotional, social and personal development needs are met in a person-centred way.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Physiotherapist to join our friendly team. You must have a degree or a post graduate diploma in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). It is essential that you have experience in working with individuals with a Learning Disability. Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
