Occupational Therapist

Part Time - 22.5 Hours per Week

A new opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join a team within a private hospital in, London. The hospital caters for Children with eating disorders.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination of sessional staff visiting the unit for activities and will work collaboratively with members of the psychological therapies team and nursing staff to deliver treatment based groups alongside therapeutic activities.


You will also be required to co-ordinate the timetable on the unit with the support of Clinical Psychologist and senior nursing staff and assess the provision of activities and groups and identify necessary changes to timetable as they are required.


In addition, you must ensure continuous improvement by evaluating the effectiveness and communicate any relevant information with the nurse in charge and attend the multidisciplinary meeting each week, and wherever necessary assist in any documentation required, as well as share ideas.

Additional tasks include managing activities expenditure ensuring activities are within budgetary constraints and to provide specific individual assessments of young people where it is identified by the multidisciplinary team as necessary.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in the role, you will have:
 

Good oral and written communication skills.

The ability to facilitate groups and evaluate their effectiveness.

Knowledge of research design, conduct and analysis.

Understands professional standards and limits of competence.

Knowledge of MOHO. (desired)

Diploma in Occupational Therapy or BSc in Occupational Therapy Registered with the Health Professions Council
