Ashingdon Hall is a small residential care home in Ashingdon near Rochford, which has 14 rooms. We are a grade 2 listed building, and we will also soon be opening a brand-new purpose-built annex with 10 rooms. We pride ourselves on providing excellent 24-hour person-centred care for our residents and we are now looking for Senior Care Assistants to join our friendly caring team.
Main Responsibilities (but not limited to)
· Ensure the highest levels of care and dignity while supporting our residents with all aspects of personal care including washing, bathing and continence needs.
· Plan, encourage and assist residents to participate in social and recreational activities and support them to maintain their independence.
· Recognise each resident’s individuality to be able to provide person centred care.
· Administer medication in line with company policies and keep accurate records
· Be responsible for leading and supporting care assistants and assisting to induct new staff members
· Create, review and update care plans and risk assessments to reflect our residents changing needs.
· Monitor and ensure daily recordings are completed.
· Assist with domestic duties such as housekeeping and cooking.
· Promote the home in a professional manner.
Successful Candidate Will
· Hold NVQ3 in Health and Social Care
· Have good verbal and written skills and be able to communicate professionally with all visitors, family members and health care professionals
· Be as passionate about our residents and our home as we are.
